In my last blog I wrote about boredom and things that are essential to me. When writing this blog, I want you all to know that I am still BORED. I am losing track of the days of the week and I am getting my weekends mixed up with weekdays. I keep waiting to wake up from this long, “no end in sight” nightmare, but it doesn’t happen. I can truly see why some people are choosing to drink alcohol daily….
So, to keep myself from boring myself to pieces, I decided to think about the places I am going to go to once my state re-opens for business.
Jill’s Gentlemen’s Club
Of course I miss this place the most out of all the places I can’t go. I miss the dancers, I miss the bouncers, I miss the stage shows, I miss the VIP room, I miss their damn parking lot! And I don’t care if the dancers have black roots showing or their hair/nails need done. I don’t care. Just get on stage and dance!
My Job
I never thought I would say this, but I am excited to go back to work. I truly miss the people I work with and I miss actually doing something physical all day long. Yep, can’t wait to go back to work.
Sporting Events
OMG I miss baseball and the ballpark! The tradition of watching the game, drinking a beer and eating a hot dog, all on a nice, warm afternoon or evening just brings a tear to my eyes. I’d do anything to feel this experience again….and please God …please let us have college and pro football games this fall/winter. I just can’t image being stripped of these games too……
Casinos
I miss these places bad (even though my wallet doesn’t) …. the sounds of the machines as people spin away in hopes of hitting it big. The atmosphere, the stale smell of cigarette smoke and the stickiness of a spilled mixed drink……all these things I miss dearly…….and can’t wait until I once again can be a frequent “flyer” there.
The Gym
My gawd. I’m flabby and I need to pump some serious iron. Lord only knows how much weight I have gained so far…. I am damn ready to get back to sweat and squats.
My Barber
No offense to my lovely wife and her entrusted hair clippers, but her haircuts on me are just not “cutting it”…no pun intended. I miss my barber so very much and I promise to tip her bigger and better than ever before!
The Grocery Store
OK, they are open now, but I can’t wait to go to the grocery store and walk any damn way I please up and down a friggin aisle!!! Those damn arrows!!! So many rules….
A Restaurant
I have been doing my good deeds and supporting local restaurants during this time, but damn I’ll be so glad when I can go inside, plop my fat ass on a chair or in a booth and order from a person who is standing closer that 6’ to me! And eat surrounded by lots of people I don’t know!! Yes!!!
